Raid d’Heure – Walcourt
Great photograph, even the flair adds to the mood!
Thanks, I really liked the flair in this photo.. as you say it adds to the mood.
I really like this one…I can almost feel the sun and hear the train…excellent!
It was a really nice day. I missed the morning but the afternoon sun low in the sky was great. I wondered what a shot into the sun would look like… I overexposed a bit on purpose.. I did take a couple with the right settings but they are not so atmospheric.. The trains are diesel/electric now so the sounds are not so good.. Still, just down the road there is a steam railway.
There is a timeless beauty to this shot–it could easily have been taken a century ago (though the streetlights are a bit too modern for that).
Thanks Mike, I know, it’s almost impossible today to avoid things like that. Like when you see a great landscape shot but then realise the high tension lines are unavoidable and completely distract.. Still modern urban photography. I wan tot try and get to Charleroi because I think there are some really great shots just waiting to be taken there..
